The INDRISK project is an industrial research project whose main objective is to advance towards the development of a digital tool to increase the water security of the industry in its quantitative and qualitative aspects. It is aimed at those sectors in which water is a key factor, either in their supply chain by incorporating it into their products (agri-food industry) or by any other circumstance that makes it a fundamental part of their value chain (operators of water services).

INDRISK is focused as a risk management application linked to water, which processes and exploits the information obtained in the company’s production and supply chain, as well as the information operated on other platforms and public data servers with relevant information on the water cycle, fundamentally the qualitative and quantitative control networks of the Automatic Hydrological Information System operated by the Hydrographic Confederations, AEMET, CCAA, as well as other SDI platforms in development or in the future.

INDRISK houses an embedded risk assessment and response system focused on the mass capture and treatment of data (from the network of sensors installed in the company and other hydrological and meteorological data operated by the competent authorities). The exploitation of this information, interpreted through previously established ad hoc indicators, will serve as the basis for simulating short-term risk scenarios in the cloud or simulating critical medium-term scenarios.

For this, INDRISK has the following partners:

  • ZINNAE (Coordinator)
  • IDEYA
  • FACSA
  • HOWLab Research Group of the University of Zaragoza.
